Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using IronStride ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Shahin Al Kabir Mitul ("Developer," "we," "us"). Please read them carefully before proceeding.

2. Description of Service

IronStride is an AI-powered endurance coaching application for runners, cyclists, and triathletes. The App provides:

• AI-generated daily coaching briefs and activity analysis
• Recovery, strain, and race readiness scoring based on your health and activity data
• Integration with Strava, Apple Health, and Google Health Connect
• Weather and air quality information relevant to outdoor training
• Race discovery and planning tools

IronStride is a consumer fitness application, not a professional coaching service, medical device, or clinical tool.

3. Account Registration

To use IronStride, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (or 16 in the European Economic Area)
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms.

4. AI Features Disclaimer

By using IronStride's AI features, you acknowledge and agree that:

• AI-generated coaching briefs, activity analysis, and recommendations are produced by automated systems and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or suggestions unsuitable for your specific situation.
• IronStride's AI is not a certified personal trainer, sports scientist, physiologist, or medical professional.
• AI outputs are informational suggestions only, not professional coaching advice.
• The quality of AI coaching depends on the accuracy and completeness of the data you provide.
• AI systems can misinterpret data and produce incorrect outputs. You are solely responsible for how you act on any AI-generated content.
• IronStride uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate coaching content. Anthropic's use of your data is governed by their Privacy Policy and our data processing agreement.

5. Medical Disclaimer

By using IronStride, you acknowledge that:

• Recovery scores, strain scores, HRV analysis, and related metrics are fitness indicators, not medical diagnoses.
• IronStride does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
• You should consult a qualified physician before beginning any new exercise programme, especially if you have a known or suspected medical condition, are pregnant, or have been inactive for an extended period.
• If you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness, unusual fatigue, or any other concerning symptoms during exercise, stop immediately and seek medical attention.
• Endurance training carries inherent risks. The Developer is not liable for any injury, illness, or adverse health outcome resulting from your use of the App or its coaching suggestions.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws
• Share your account credentials with other users
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks
• Exploit AI features to generate harmful, misleading, or abusive content
• Attempt to circumvent security measures or access another user's data
• Use the App in a way that violates Strava's, Apple's, or Google's terms of service

7. Health Data

IronStride accesses health data (HRV, resting heart rate, sleep) from Apple HealthKit and Google Health Connect with your explicit permission. You represent that:

• You have the right to share this health data with IronStride
• You understand that health data is used solely to provide coaching and recovery features
• You can revoke health data access at any time through your device's privacy settings

8. Strava Integration

IronStride integrates with Strava via OAuth 2.0. By connecting Strava to IronStride, you agree that:

• IronStride will access only the Strava permissions you explicitly grant during the OAuth flow
• Your use of Strava remains governed by Strava's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• Revoking IronStride's access to Strava does not delete your Strava account or data
• You can disconnect Strava from IronStride at any time from Strava's "My Apps" settings

9. Subscriptions

IronStride is currently free to download and use. A premium subscription tier is planned for the future. When introduced:

• Subscription pricing and features will be clearly disclosed before purchase
• Subscriptions will auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• Cancellation and refund terms will comply with App Store and Google Play policies
• Existing free features will not be retroactively placed behind a paywall without prior notice

These Terms will be updated when subscription features are introduced.

10. Intellectual Property

IronStride, its branding, interface design, and original content are the intellectual property of Shahin Al Kabir Mitul. All rights reserved.

AI-generated coaching content provided to you is licensed for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not redistribute, publish, or commercialise AI-generated coaching briefs without prior written permission.

IronStride respects third-party intellectual property. If you believe content on IronStride infringes your copyright, contact us at mitul.cse@gmail.com.

11. Disclaimers of Warranty

IronStride is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
• Warranty that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
• Warranty as to the accuracy or reliability of AI-generated coaching content
• Warranty that Strava, Apple Health, or Health Connect data will always sync correctly

Use of the App is at your sole risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Shahin Al Kabir Mitul shall not be liable for any:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill
• Physical injury or health consequence resulting from following AI coaching suggestions
• Inaccuracies in AI-generated content, recovery scores, or health metrics
• Service interruptions, data loss, or sync failures

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion of certain damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. If IronStride is a paid service, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Shahin Al Kabir Mitul from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to IronStride at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we reasonably determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, third parties, or the integrity of the App.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it within the App (Profile › Settings › Delete Account) or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use IronStride ceases immediately, and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through good-faith negotiation where possible. If you and we cannot resolve a dispute informally, both parties agree to submit to binding arbitration or the jurisdiction of the competent courts.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of IronStride after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and may delete your account.
